  • Here’s a rundown of the 2024 lineup:

    BISON fucking slays!

Callista is a basement band from qathet. Gritty riffs and haunting vocals, we’re eager to acquaint ourselves with your ears.

Caveman & The Banshee (a.k.a. Dave Read and Valentina Cardinalli) are from Nanaimo, BC, and we’ve been blowing up stages across Canada since late 2021 with our lethal psychedelic electro punk-meets-performance-art live shows. Imagine Nina Hagen and Lemmy backed by Public Enemy’s drum machine on a heavy metal-meets-techno acid trip.

Coup D'état is real fake emo from Victoria.

Dagger… it’s blue jeans, it’s leather jackets, it’s pointy boots, it’s the New Wave of British Columbian Heavy Metal…

The David Parkinson Project (DPP) is an art-punk trio that does the very most with the fewest notes. Our sound is inspired by flowers, candy, hypochondria, and outer space.

Naturally gravitating to the point in the Universe where oysters converge to achieve perfection, Dead Bob prepares to once again melt faces in qathet.

Electric Brains are a Power-Pop Punk Rock and Roll band from qathet.

DJ Full Bug loves 7”s the most.

KCAR is a punk-rock-mom trio from East Vancouver.

Little Pharmer and the Ditch Prescription is a musical collision between industrial agriculture and joyous inspiration. This is farm rock, punk rock, and true folk music.

Loose Tights is a trio that hails from qathet and covers songs you've probably never heard before. And even if you have, it's a pretty safe bet you won't recognize them!

Mean Bikini is a fast fun loud ‘n’ queer punk band from the Comox Valley.

Potential Union was formed in the heart of the qathet region over 15 years ago and we’ve been tearing up stages since our middle-school days, evolving into a finely tuned force of relentless energy, delivering unforgettable, high-voltage performances. It’s time to JOIN THE UNION.

Sharome is 4 dudes who just wanna shred!

Swordfern is a power metal band from the faerie realm.

Tremblers of Sevens is two people who sound like 10. We mine everything from traditional blues, devotional gospel, meditative Turkish delights, and klezmer nuptial nights, then plug it in, crank it up loud, and hammer it out over melodic and dynamic drums. The result is heavy, groovy songs that take you somewhere familiar that you’ve never actually been. WISE: guitars/vocals. RAD: drums.

Trenchraid is D-beat rock n’ roll, no bullshit, hardcore punk from Sechelt, BC.

  • Theschedule will be announced in late July.

  • Bring your pass to the door, or give your name if you bought online, and you’ll get a wristband. Keep the wristband on for the whole weekend! You can use it for admission and ins and outs for both days. Beware: broken or lost wristbands will not be replaced, so be careful in the pit!

  • No, because we want you to see ALL the bands!

  • Not only is the answer YES, but they are free!

  • We’re sorry, no.

  • No, only by PayPal (see above). We pay the fees (much lower than online ticketing services) and you can buy a plate of The Alley french fries with the money you save. You’re welcome!

No PayPal? E-transfer to loudqathet@gmail.com - $75 adult, $25 youth (6-12). Please include your full name for will call.

  • No. Because of The Alley’s limited capacity, we are only selling passes in advance.

  • We hope to see you next year!

  • The Alley Powered by Persephone is a newly renovated all-ages venue in a bowling alley on the main street of the city currently named Powell River in the qathet region. Punks and metalheads can bowl (free with loud qathet pass!), play pool, hang out, and watch bands simultaneously. Pretty wild stuff!

  • Yes, The Alley will be offering full food service throughout the festival. Here is the menu.

  • To your heart’s desire.

  • No. Sorry. If you have special considerations, please email us at loudqathet@gmail.com

  • You betcha!

  • You can have as much fun as you want, as long as it’s not infringing on anyone else’s fun. If you harsh someone (or us) out with inappropriate or harassing behaviour, or you make anyone else at the show feel unsafe, you will be asked to leave. And you will leave.

  • Absolutely! Send them to loudqathet@gmail.com
And do all the social media stuff, of course, and we’d also love them in our email for future use! Your photo credit will be included.

  • Maybe.

Email us at loudqathet@gmail.com and include some info about your band, links to music, social media stuff, etc. And tell us why you think you should play the fest. Be forewarned, we are booking loud bands only—punk, hardcore, metal, etc. But if you fall outside those styles, please try anyway! As long as you’re loud!
