loud qathet FAQs

Heck yeah, there will!
-
We have an Instagram! Check it out!

Absolutely! Send them to loudqathet@gmail.com
or tag us on social media. If we use them, you’ll get a photo credit!. -
Maybe.
Email us at loudqathet@gmail.com and include some info about your band, links to music, social media stuff, etc. And tell us why you think you should play the fest. Be forewarned, we are booking loud bands only—punk, hardcore, metal, etc. But if you fall outside those styles, please try anyway! As long as you’re loud!

The Alley Powered by Persephone is a newly renovated all-ages venue in a bowling alley on the main street of the city currently named Powell River in the qathet region. Punks and metalheads can bowl (free with loud qathet pass!), play pool, hang out, and watch bands simultaneously. Pretty wild stuff!
-
Yes, with the help of the wonderful folks at True Pro Contracting and a merry bunch of volunteers, that is correct!
-
No. Because of The Alley’s limited capacity, we only sell passes in advance. Watch for our “on sale” announcement in the spring.
-
You betcha!
-
Not very. The main entrance has several steps. The driveway and paths are steep. There is a side door (available upon request) with no steps, but off the steep driveway. These conditions are far from ideal, and loud qathet will be advocating that The Alley make the venue more accessible in the future.
-
We hope not. We’re working on ventilation in the band area and have an ongoing plan to keep it as cool as possible.
-
You can have as much fun as you want, as long as it’s not infringing on anyone else’s fun. If you harsh someone (or us) out with inappropriate or harassing behaviour, or you make anyone at the festival feel unsafe, you will be asked to leave. And you will leave.
